As a clinical psychologist and behavior change expert, JoAnne Epping-Jordan, PhD knows how to make significant and lasting changes in the attitudes and actions of others.  Building on scientifically-proven principles, Dr Epping-Jordan has designed and implemented a range of innovative programmes to shape targeted groups' beliefs and behaviors around different health issues.

Dr Epping-Jordan led the World Health Organization's global initiatives on improving health care for chronic conditions from 2002 to 2005, and on advocacy and communications for chronic diseases and health promotion from 2005 to 2007.  She is a recognized international leader in chronic disease prevention and management, at a time when chronic diseases such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes are emerging as the dominant challenge to health systems.
